Mid-Week Update

March 3, 2010 Writing

I’m just about half-way through my “vacation” from the day job. Somehow things have taken over a good chunk of my mornings and afternoons, so the only chance I’ve had to do any work is during the evenings. Still, as I’ve pushed and pushed all week, I’ve have managed to chew through quite a bit. Here’s my project progress:

Hedged In: From 25.7% to 35.8%.  I’m now around page 161 / 204 for my initial edit-through. I think the rewrite will go pretty smoothly with all the notes that I’ve been making.

“Blood and Puppies”: Remains at 80%. I haven’t taken any steps to resolve this as of yet.

Blackfoot: 4%.  No movement as this is on hold this week.

The Sons of Brightwill (critique): No progress.

Remedy (critique): No progress

Shock Totem Flash Fic (Due Friday): No progress.

Today was a big clean-up day in preparation for a certain visit I won’t discuss here. I just got back in around 9:00pm, and have found myself astutely trying to avoid any writing-related work. Maybe I just feel like taking today off. Too bad for that, I’m going to write the Shock Totem Flash Fic in the next couple hours. Need to have something to submit tomorrow for critiquing at the Underground Writers.

Tomorrow, aside from the usual Underground Writer meeting, I’ll be meeting up with PiscesMuse to discuss Script Frenzy. We’ve already got some big things underway for the event, so hopefully we’ll get the last few things ironed out tomorrow before the UW meeting. The boards have been reset, so anyone interested is welcome to join our region over there. I’m hoping to make it a huge year for the Sudbury area.

Anyhow, I’ve lots left to do. Expect another post at the end of the week!
