Shawn R. Gray works as a claims associate for State Farm Insurance. When not working, he volunteers for local community groups, writes short stories and novels, and engorges himself on political issues that affect people locally, provincially, nationally or internationally. Shawn’s primary areas of political interest include digital issues, privacy laws, economics, transit, and energy.

He has a bachelor’s degree in English from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario and a bachelor’s degree in Education from Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario. He is recently obtained a graduate certificate in Event Management with Honours from Algonquin College in Ottawa. From 2008-2010, Gray ran events for National Novel Writing Month and Script Frenzy in Sudbury, Ontario, while working in retail electronics. During his time in Sudbury, he was involved in the formation of several writing and critique groups that still operate today. He currently lives in Ottawa, Ontario.
Shawn was married on February 18th, 2012, to a beautiful young woman born in Hong Kong, but raised in Northern Ontario.
