This past summer, Sudbury’s highest level of play, the Ontario Soccer League’s U21 division, hosted two teams: the Greater Sudbury Impact and the Northern Soccer Academy.

Unfortunately, the OSL does not publish complete rosters. They only publish player names if they score, get a shut-out, or get carded.

By cross referencing this information (and the roster of the Thunder Bay Chill) with rosters at the Northern Ontario Universities & Colleges with teams in USports or CCAA (Laurentian, Algoma, Nipissing, Cambrian, and Sault), we’re able to narrow down to 12 key players who remain in the North throughout the year.

As I’ll be trying to “follow” the playing careers of those across the North, these 12 are key players for a future League1 Ontario or CPL Sudbury side.
