League1 Ontario is a couple steps from what we would really like to accomplish here in Sudbury. However, the Division 3 league offers a great opportunity for Sudbury to get on the field, build the game, and provide a pipeline for local players directly to the Canadian Premier League.
Both James Jerome and Delki Dozi could be modified to fit League1 Ontario’s facility requirements. The question really comes down to interested investors, qualified coaches, and player availability.
No word yet on whether any of the local clubs will be applying for the 2020 season.
